  • When will you re enact a scene from the room

  • Elmo: We need to have respect with each other. Matpat: They need to work together to win. Elmo: Matpat knows the key to success and winning the thrown, respect.

  • The Lannister’s did not poison John Arron

  • I personally have to disagree with this, despite how informational and despite how thought out it is. I think that the repeated motif throughout the entire show and I believe it’s been quoted a few times by Sir Davos “it doesn’t matter who sits on the throne if we’re all dead”, my theory follows the same vision Daenerys sees in the house of the undying. I don’t believe the white walkers will win however I think the army in the north will win then hence the battle towards the south against Cersei and her army. Having the dragons or a dragon during a siege against kings landing will bring a lot of impatience knowing that the army of the north have a lot of fire power at their arsenal, I think that the battle will amount an enormous toll including the majority of the main characters that survived the battle against the dead, during this battle the red keep will be destroyed like in Daenerys’s vision however she won’t be around to see it, instead (like stated in the video) there will be a reset of the throne and the ideology behind it and the way the seven kingdoms are run with a younger, rounded, ready, tried and tested, fair but knowledgeable mind... Sansa, however she won’t sit on the iron throne, because the iron throne should die with everything else and like a Phoenix rising through the ashes a new, stable kingdom is born. I think a well justified sense of pride, not a birth right or a given title or sense of possession for the seven kingdoms, but a well justified sense of pride will build the right future for GOT and who better than Sansa, she’s worked for everything she’s got (the same can be said for Arya, Jon, Daenerys and even Cersei in a way) but Arya has never wanted to be anything but a warrior, Jon has never wanted the titles however they’ve just been given too him, Daenerys has always had that drive to become queen and everyone knows that whoever wants something in game of thrones won’t get it and Cersei on the other hand has sacrificed a lot to get where she is including all three of her children however now that her lover has gone I feel as though she’s gone colder that the whites and has nothing to lose anymore beside her crown and she also shows similar traits to that of the mad king, being happy about incoming doom on the north, she burnt all the opposing houses in the sept of Bealor. She hasn’t shown any signs of madness to the kingdom directly however the majority of the population do not like her which is obvious by the walk of atonement and because of this I feel that I wouldn’t put it past her to chose her own crown over the rest of the population which directly mirrors the mad king. Sansa has a well rounded personality and it almost seems since half way through season six when she reunited with Jon she has always known exactly what to say and she has (in my opinion) since then proved herself to be a well rounded leader at only 18/19, I believe Sansa will create the new future for Westeros because it’s been proven since the betrayal of Ned Start that the system in place doesn’t work (also stated in the video) and it is very one sided towards the side with the most money which is an in-just system. I think Sansa will take on board Jons ideas and Daenerys ideas before they both die and then lead the country as a whole and in a revolutionary way which will shape Westeros. But it’s game of thrones at the end of the day, emperor Palpatine could be stealing harry Potter’s broom to go fight the Terminator by the end of s8, that’s what I love about it😊

  • I was expecting this to be some ill-advised insight, but I believe this theory may be the right one - at least half of it. There's another theory that Bran will travel back in time after everyone dies in the present and kill himself when he falls from the tower, thus preventing a lot of the events to occur and maybe also somehow stop the WW threat.

  • re-reading the books and Stannis is just a freak @.@ He planned to put on trial every high lord and kill them for crimes his brother had pardoned them from.

  • Hey MatPat can you do a film theory about blood bending from Avatar the Last Airbender and whether it would be possible to control someone by bending their blood

  • everyone can you do me a fav a sub to my friend marc the shark he just need 15 subs

  • Mat can you please do a theory about the two superheros shadow and dagger

  • I 100% agree with this theory

  • Lysa Arryn and Littlefinger conspired to kill Jon Arryn not the Lannister’s, that’s how I read the story

  • Is Deku realated to All Might or is it father and son?

  • In Re:Zero the main character dies over many time points and I have a question , how many times would it take to lose your mind from the amount of deaths you've been through

  • thats actually good ending for me :D

  • I wouldn't pretend that an "everyone dies" ending is appropriate or satisfying, for two main reasons: A. There's no way to represent the themes of A Song of Ice and Fire if no characters survive to reflect or learn. While it is far more traditional, a situation where characters overcome their flaws builds a solid narrative and neatly concludes character arcs. B. It would be a very dissatisfying ending. It would be disrespectful to the audience and the work put into the novels. Also, George R. R. Martin promised a "bittersweet" ending. Mass destruction is far too much bitter, with no sweet whatsoever.

  • Make a video about Loki to find out if he actually died in infinity war please, Loki is my favorite character in the Marvel universe

  • Man this blew my mind

  • Not a related question but can you make a theory on Saiki vs one punch man? "The Disasterous Life of Saiki K" is a show on Netflix.

  • I also think that everyone will die and winter will come for all man kind.

  • Talk about fucking filler dear god

  • Next video figure out how old spongebob is

  • You're going to sit here and say the Lannisters killed Jon Arryn

  • Honestly when viserion took down the wall in the season 7 finale, I thought “there’s no way Jon and dany can win this”

  • Lannisters didn't poison Jon Arryn you dumb dog

  • Wrong. The Lannisters didn't kill Jon Arryn, it was Peter Baelish.

  • 1.) The Lannisters did NOT poison John Arryn, it was Petyr Bailish... 2.) Little finger did NOT poison Geoffrey, it was Olena Tyrell... Please have your source material check before you create a video as such....

  • i just want to see edmure become lord of riverrun

  • I'm still hoping one day in the future, a few years from now they re-make the show as an animated series. With an animation style similar to The Dragon Prince, or a crisp 2D like Archer, or more simple like Legend of Korra or Disenchantment... They could stick to the books exactly, do all the cool stuff too expensive or wild for live action, and go much deeper into the story. They could do long 20+ episode seasons, not requiring expensive actors for the budget or massive CGI or sets, just good storytelling and good voice actors. This is my dream for game of thrones. It deserves to be done justice to GRRMs original work. They GoT show is amazing, and D&D did a great job with what they had in the way of budget, scale, and scope. You can only realistically do so much in live action, before it gets absurd and costs a billion dollars. With animation, we get more direwolves, more magic, more dragons, more characters, more stories... just MORE! Adult animation has been done well before, and animation, anime, and nerd culture are becoming more mainstream and I think an average audience would be open to an animated series now. Shows like Spawn, Bojack and a few others proved you can do very adult and serious themes and content in an animated format. I think a series like Game of Thrones, or Lord of the Rings, or even Clone Wars just have to be animated. It's the only real way to do justice to the source material. This is my dream for the Song of Ice and Fire. This is my dream for Westeros and her neighboring countries and the people within. This is my dream for the ultimate animated fantasy series of all time!

  • Oh btw love the vid

  • Hey umm people can you sub to my channel. It's called Shadow gacha

  • 5:34 Littlefinger and Lysa Arryn killed Jon Arryn

  • George R.R. Martin said the ending is bittersweet, not depressing

  • You know how mad I will be if this is correct

  • I've been getting feeling, just a small one, that most of the starks are going to die. That lots of people are going to die. Even Jon, last battle with the Night King and they both die. Jon would be the only one the would be willing to rule the Iron Throne, Bran and Arya have no need or interest, and Sansa most likely want to stay in rule the North, if they all survive.

  • Can you please do a theory on the netflix original series The Kirlian Frequency? Like so Pat can see this!

  • I started watching and an ad came up about game of thrones no lie

  • If you think this has a happy ending you haven't been paying attention.

  • Do a theory on la llorona

  • Do a theory on James Cameron avatar

  • Do a theory on James Cameron avatar

  • Do a theory on James Cameron avatar

  • Do a theory on James Cameron avatar

  • Do a theory on James Cameron avatar

  • YES!! YESSS!!! A THOUSAND TIMES YES!!! I've been saying this since season 5! The Night King needs to come and take the world from the forces of men! Because just like in the real world, humanity and everything they have brought into this world has torn it asunder. We are scarred, divided, and have failed as a species to come together and harmonise the world we were blessed with, and soon a force more powerful than us will wipe us from existence and reset the world that we have so taken for granted. So I am all for this theory. #TeamNightKing!!! ❄️❄️❄️

  • I hate to nitpick but at 5:05, the Lannister's house motto isn't "A Lannister always pays their debts." It's actually "Hear my roar." They still say that phrase all too often, though.

  • Me: Clicks on one game of thrones video GR-tv ads: YOU WANT TO PLAY GAME OF THRONES GAMES CLICK HERE

  • I like your prediction. Why can't the first show be one about how the world ends and then the next shows show us how it began

  • IF Dany wins and ends up on the iron throne it will be either while pregnant with Jon's child or after having given birth to his child. Before this she will have an epic fall from grace and question herself but then Jon will have to leave to the north, to the heart of winter, to relieve the night king of his rule. She will vow to do better, to make the memory of who Jon was proud of who she will be. I don't know really obviously but I like to make silly little guesses. Got to do it now before it's all over and we know for sure

  • DHMIS IS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I also consider the death of littlefinger relevant on saying, this little game of thrones that you all play has died, now winter comes to take all your thrones all together.

  • lol the ad before the video was a game of thrones ad also we played the theme for our last concert

  • What if Dany marries Daario?

  • When he talked about "A Lannister Always Pays Their Debts" and referenced the deaths of Cersei + Jamie's children, as well as Tywin's death this actually blew my mind in a way I never thought of before. Lannister's "pay their debts", obviously financially, but they also pay moral and philosophical debts with the lives of their own kin. That's why every Lannister death is the result of a greedy and immoral move from the family.

  • how it should end... is the North retreat to the Crypts; wait for the Dead to march passed Dany have her Unsullied and Dothraki split to the East and West down Kings Road stay in hiding, and then attack the dead from the sides, let the Golden Company attack from the south the North attack immediately after; completely surround the Dead. have those in the mid to back ranks focus on burning or impaling their own dead with dragon glass. Dead are surrounded, causalities are burned or impaled with dragon glass Jon and Dany focus on the Walkers and then the Night King. Walkers are easier to kill, and doing so destroys the dead they personally made. also reduces the number of them able to throw spears at Reagal and Drogon. in the end, a good amount of North folks will survive, due to being much more adapted to colder temperatures and just rugged in general. Unsullied will likely be mostly killed off. Dothraki: few may live, they have much more body mass: keeps them warmer. Golden Company will take a massive hit, and their not use to the cold, nor do they know about the dead nor how the dead work (so far as we know). Drogon will likely be killed (very big target) Raegal will likely be badly injured (slightly smaller, so more agile. Dany's thrust for the throne will end get her and Drogon killed. Jon and Sansa with the aid of Aryas training, will likely make a deal with Cerci that she can't refuse, and then return to the north.

  • Atleast Mance is still alive in the books. I enjoyed him in the show

  • Matpat this you tuber need your Advice

  • you’re forgetting the arryns. sweetrobin is still kicking.

  • Apparently wights can't swim so...yeah, fuck it, let them have Westeros, chill back in Essos, conquer a few more cities, be fine

  • A spin off series doesn’t have to be sequential to the series. HBO can do so much by shedding more light on characters and story arcs from the past that lead up to the first book.

  • Dear matpat could you please do a film theory on Sanjay and Craig to unmask huggle bunny

  • I've got this theory right: "After Bran & Sam tell Jon that he's a Targaryen, Jon and other characters will find it hard to believe. However Jon will be confirmed as a Targaryen after Drogon allows Jon to ride him. That's what that intense staring scene is hinting at".... any thoughts? I really think its a solid theory. Another theory is that: "Jon was brought back to kill the Night Kill. He will manage to kill the Night King but will be fatally wounded in the process. As he's dying, Daenerys comforts him and tells him that she's pregnant with his son and that a part of him lives on"... this one's kinda out there but plausible.

  • Unpopular opinion. Daenerys is surrounded by enemies. Varys will support Jon because he is the rightful heir. Tyrion will take the side of his brother. Jon will cut ties with her as soon as he finds out he is his aunt (maybe Targaryens approve incest but Jon grew up with different traditions), Jon's entourage treats her like a foreign queen that is unwelcome in the North. Plus everyone treats her like the Mad King's daughter and expect the worst in her. Nevertheless all the above want to use her army and dragons to protect their ancestral homes. So for me, Dany will lose her claim to the throne, Jon will not marry her, she will be surrounded by enemies and she will lose her dragons and armies only to offer the throne to someone else. I actually like Daenerys, she started with a famous last name but 0 support, she thrived through adversity, she has strong magic in her veins and she deserves a happy ending. In my opinion she should show the middle finger to all this crap, take Sir Jorah her only true friend and adviser, her armies and dragons and simply head back to Dragonstone or Meereen, where the white walkers cannot go and set her own kingdom there.

  • I don’t know why I’m watching this. I’ve never seen an episode of game of thrones 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • The Lannister motto is "Hear Me Roar!" the saying "A Lannister always pays his debts" is just something they say bc they rich snobs 🖒 there's even a scene in S1 where Bran is studying the houses with Maester Luwin and Bran says their motto is "A Lanister always pays their debts" and Maester Luwin correct him.......

  • 6:12 Littlefinger didn't kill Joffrey, Lady Olenna did...

  • I think you might be on to something here. I mean why hint these themes throughout if you don't conclude them. Why start the series whit Neds mistake if you don't end with it.

  • bruh, hes totally right. XD i can see this happening over anything else

  • that is one theory, that I believe will com true

  • The Lannister official motto is "Hear Me Roar!" However, their unofficial motto, equally well known, is "A Lannister always pays his debts." From the wiki

  • 5:33 damn you are actually brain dead lol

  • there is only one person that isnt stupid as the rest: Sam. he should be the king

  • There is an interview out there with D&D where they literally apologize to book readers for spoiling the ending in the show.check it out i think it was the Oxford one

  • It may not be a movie but I think you should do a theory about eddsworld you might find something interesting....

  • Im excited for the Prequel but honestly I'd prefer a Sequel but who knows maybe some day down the line depending upon the ending

  • i really hope your version is the one we see :)

  • You should do a film theory on fairy tail. Maybe talk about if it's logical that the flying cats in the show. (Exeeds) can actually fly scientifically or it's just bull.

  • Littlefinger killed Jon Arryn, not Jaime or Cersei . Also, Bobby was happy. He was fine with his death. He didn’t want to be King, but he had to fill the power vacuum. He’s wanted to die ever since Lyanna died.

  • Gendry baratheon will become the king.

  • This has been my desire for the show since some point in season 4. Sadly, I doubt I'll get satisfaction on this, even if we did get to see at least *one* wight dragon.

  • A few years ago, I read a scholarly article where the author posited the idea that humankind was a flawed species and did not deserve and would not for long survive. All three of these points were made. The author did add one more: our unfailing ability to destroy our environment. Pretty pessimistic outlook.

  • "A Lannister always pays their debts" isn't their motto. Bran gets that wrong in the first episode and Maester Luwin corrects him that it's "Hear me roar"

  • I’M BACK! From bill cipher

  • I mean... I guess "Hear Me Roar" is a bit Katy Perry, huh?

  • yo how do i contact mat, i wanna ask if he can review something i had in mind, is there anyway i can contact him?

  • All hail the nigthkingth

  • Do a evangelion theory.

  • Stannis didn't want to be king, he simply did his duty as next in line.

  • Little finger needs to fucking win. Seriously he's too fucking smart to die like that

  • The Lannister's did not kill the hand of the king Jon Arryn. That was done by his crazy wife Lysa (Tully) Arryn under the influence of Little Finger. Come on, one of the major plot points, if your going to throw this drivel at us at least get it right!!

  • Nah. Lots of interesting points but Jon Snow's entire storyline flies in the face of the "way it should end" you present here. He has constantly rejected power. Consistently, he avoided pride to the point where he won't even let others talk about what he has done (Davos in Dragonstone). He has upheld institution in one sense, that being his time in the Night's Watch but that was more of him upholding an oath than anything. In fact, he wants nothing to do with the institution after his oath is fulfilled post death. Most importantly, he is the only character who has always pointed to the real threat of the White Walkers. If these themes are true, the only thing which makes sense is for Jon to be the one left standing in the end. I know this might be the predictable end and boring for those who want plot twists but it is the logical conclusion to the story. The best end is the most probable. Danni becomes power mad and angry when Jon's true nature is revealed. Jon is forced to kill her which somehow creates the Lightbringer sword. Jon kills the Night King with the sword. Jon ends up on a throne that he wants nothing to do with.

  • Once GOT is over you should watch The Man in the High Castle on Prime video. It's really good and is chock full of theories.

  • I wanna know how many died on Titanic.

  • Who poisend John little finger did not the lanisters

  • I want to see walking dead theroy

  • Gendry is gonna sit on that throne

  • Let arya have her way with cersei, she's the avenger of the starks anyway.
